I know things will get real hard. i have been living a hard life and i know manys other have as well. We Americans are rough and tough and can get thru this. If we all help each other, each neighborhood, neighbor to neighbor, friend to friend, family to family, help strangers. Get to know your neighbors like it use to be in the past. When i was growing up, everyone in our neighborhood knew everyone and was there for each other in good times and bad, and this was in the late 60’s early 70’s. Grow Gardens, learn to can and cook in a wood stove.Get some seeds so you can grow a garden, learn to cook rice in alot of different ways. pick berrys and wild grapes. nuts that fall off the trees. So if they don’t pass this bailout, and thing begin to fall, don’t panic and work with the people around you. Everyone share what you have with others, no one will be without anything, we all have alot to share even if it just some clotheing.

  i don’t think they should pass this bailout. Sadly if they do, there is nothing we can do about it.
let them fail and redo our money system and have it backed by gold again. this will also limit them and keep a better buget because you can’t borrow if you don’t have the gold to back it. inflation will be gone, prices will fall, so will our paychecks to level out the cost of living. bring home all our troops from all over the world.

Seeing as how they all admit that taxpayers will be shouldering the pain of this bailout and this is America not some communist country, shouldn’t we be allowed to vote whether we want to do it or not?

Sad that this persident want do something to make a difference..No matter how they vote…Just remember that for the most part ...It isnt we the people anymore..Its us your goverment…how sad, how sad…Maybe a new president will make a difference….Yet it will take time to fix all the mess we are in here…grrr..Gas battles ...real astate battles…so many going with out things for there famlies..FOOD…where is the freedom from it all..Yes congress has the power to help matters..Yet do remember nothing is over ..Until the freedom rings around america again…Im sadden that this has happen .

I don’t see why I should have to pay to keep families in homes they weren’t able to afford in the first place.

If I gambled in VEGAS, I would have to pay the price, I would lose.  I say give it back to the people of America, this would cause a boost in the economty , or a BOOM…..more spending….right?  Why not give it to the people.  We did not create this!! they did.  Then there should be laws in place so CEO’S in the real-esate scandal do not make off with 70 million in 17 days! If I got that, I would not care if I was fired. People should not have gotten loans that they clearly could not afford!  The government should quit keeping people in the dark and let them know whats going on.
